Food is good, delivery service needs work. Order was supposed to arrive 50 minutes after ordering and was supposed get delivery updates. I was never updated on my order and it arrived sooner than 50 minutes, which is a positive but the problem is that they can’t figure out how to send sms updates.

Good food. Great people. Owner came and visited with our group while we waited for our food. I wish more restaurants understood how to make their customers feel appreciated. They also always have brought out a small dish of their special for the day to let you sample the deliciousness.

Super good Mexican food and wonderful people providing fantastic service. This is a family business and they do a wonderful job. Mama really does the cooking and it's really quite good. And the prices are good too.

I would not recommend. We had poor service from a very unattentive waitress. We had to ask for everything from silverware to napkins, and my wife didn't get the dinner she ordered. Not to mention that both of the facilities in the men's room were out of order.

The owners are nice. The place Is quaint and the food is usually really good. I'd avoid anything bacon wrapped though...it was rubbery. The prices are fair and when you order a Corona it comes with hot sauce in a glass and a shrimp or olive as garnish.

Found a new favorite stop on our way to visit our son and his family. Excellent food, best carnitas we've ever had. And the owners and staff are awesome! We felt very welcome and comfortable. Looking forward to stopping on our next trip to the Chicago area!

Great place for mexican food. The owners and employees treat you like family. They have a seafood soup that for a mexican restaurant it is fantastic! The resturant is quaint and cozy. The portions are large. I always have leftovers.

sat and waited about 5 mins for water, 5 mins for chips and salsa, 30-40 mins for the actual food. definitely not a stop and go place to eat. the soup is bland, not sure what everyone is talking about and why they say it’s so good when it’s just seasoned water and noodles. i wouldn’t really recommend this place nor eat there again. BUT i will say that it is clean, that’s important.

In all my years, I have never been so impressed with the quality of food I was served as I was tonight. Everything from the nightly special to the simple side dishes were clearly made from scratch, and of the highest quality. The chips we're a thick, puffy, flaky delight. I stumbled on this location by accident while traveling, but will be returning no matter the distance.

I have not ate here in a while but I was a regular at one time and it was awesome the food was always consistent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.I would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Great authentic Mexican food and family atmosphere.Ordered the cheese dip appetizer today and our waitress politely told us it would be about a 10 minute wait. We said no thanks and went ahead and ordered our meals without thinking anything of it. Minutes later the owner Maria had a free plate of bean dip, flautas, and tamales brought out to our table. What a delicious surprise. This place really does treat you like family even if it's your first time there.

Our order was wrong. out appetizer forgotten until last minute, 1 meal was under cooked, no napkins, no silverware, no working facilities in the mens bathroom, or waitress never checked on us, service was horrible. when we complained I got a thumbs up.

Drove from Freeport for dinner last night. It was worth the drive and will definitely go back soon.

Favorite place for mexican food.

Excellent Mexican food. Fantastic light and airy fried chips and those come with a small pitcher of salsa for you to pour from. And you absolutely need to order a beer just to enjoy the presentation on the mug. Finally the food was top notch and very tasty.

Every time I have been there the food was fantastic. The owner David, would come and chat to see how everything was. Very comfortable place to sit and enjoy great Mexican food. We plan on continuing to give them our service.
